i stood there saw people watching him

outraged – the jews and my soldiers sneered
and hurled insults at him:
"save yourself and come down from the cross
that we may believe!"

everyone could see
his eyes up to the sky
he cried out to his GOD:
"why have you forsaken me?"

as he cried out loud
and bowed his head to die
i knew he was the son of GOD

darkness over all the land
the ground began to shake
i was so shocked
could not believe this sight
and what took place
the power I felt – a mystery to me
what does it mean?
did I transgress the limits
and my sphere of influence?
